The Small Gardens.
A few small 'garden rooms' surround the big borders and provide
little nooks of interest in contrast to the big set-piece displays.
A small hosta garden in cool shade contains not only hostas but
trilliums, Meconopsis, and the exquisite single white peony 'Late
Windflower'.
Another small garden, with its own little terrace is Mary's Garden,
made by my father in memory of my mother. It contains her favourite
Hybrid Tea roses and the old-fashioned garden plants that she
liked best.
