Welcome to Craigieburn Garden and Nursery.

This is our family's garden of some 5 acres, above one of the most beautiful valleys in south-west Scotland. Now open to the public, it is a ravishing place to visit, and an exceptional range of fine plants is always available in our Nursery.

Scotland's greatest poet, Robert Burns, was entranced by Craigieburn, writing his favourite song in celebration of its charms. He saw in the dawn at Craigieburn and wrote:

Sweet falls the evening on Craigieburn ... And blithe [joyous] awakens the morrow

All the plants you see on the website have been photographed in the garden, but they are only a tiny fraction of what there is to see through from early spring to late autumn. Our visitors like the idea that they can see how a Craigieburn plant will look once it grows to maturity in their own garden.
